I focused my concepts on developing the boxing skill of speedy footwork and the correct stance needed for balance and proper force transfer.

Some drills and exercises used to develop footwork are:
- skipping rope, it mimics short bursts of power in the legs and develops balance, muscle endurance, breathing, coordination etc
- developing 'angles' by shuffling around some cones and creating various patterns to find a gap in the other person's defence

- focusing on toe-stepping rather than heel stepping to maintain balance
-focusing on a narrow stance with one foot in front of the other, allows bigger steps and range of motion
Initial concept sketches were centred around developing skills, engaging an audience and sharing visual progress.

A projector that relays patterns for footwork onto an interactive mat.

A foot device that keeps the user on their toes, buzzes if they land on their heel and records their footwork speed.

Interactive suits that users wear which relays onto a screen that the coach can educate viewers on. Allows audience engagement.

A tapping game to eliminate striking and create a fun way to get moving.
