The fun interaction is a metaphor for the ordinary interaction but it's still plausible and the action is still expected. It's an embedded habit.

- Different meanings within light, sound and motion (bright light, quiet sound and rhythmic motion etc).

- This then relates to different sensors

Metaphors are all around us i.e. zooming on a phone, similar to actually moving the picture in.

Interactive tech includes tangible interactions and needs elements of familiarity, routine action and knowledge to be successful with new users.

For example, the concept Diabetes wristband is a metaphor for a parent pinching their child to remember something. The wristband imitates this so that the child can remember to take their medication. It isn't the physical action but it is a metaphor for the action and has the element of familiarity so the interaction is seamless.
